Eric LeGrand Single Barrel 8 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon is our oldest and boldest release yet. We hand selected a single barrel from the historic warehouses of Green River Distilling Co. in Owensboro, Kentucky, the 10th oldest registered distillery in the state. It aged for eight full years in toasted and charred new American oak barrels. Most bourbon from this distillery is bottled at five to seven years, so this barrel is a rare find. We bottled it uncut at full cask strength, an extraordinary 140.6 proof.

It is crafted with a high rye mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye and 9% malted barley, and that rye gives the bourbon its spice and structure. The nose opens with rich toffee, brown sugar and vanilla frosting, then bright orange peel, cinnamon and a touch of fresh mint. The palate is deep and layered, with caramel, baked apple and ripe peach, followed by dark cherry, clove and warm rye spice. Eight years in the barrel add notes of seasoned oak, light leather and a hint of dark chocolate. The finish is long and warming, with lingering brown sugar, cherry and peppery oak that keep building long after the sip.

Barrel 17J15 #101 is limited to just 78 bottles and is available only online. Like Eric, it was built on patience and trust in the process. It embodies bold character and enduring legacy in every sip. Believe.
